Dominating Niches is a product which proposes to teach the online marketer how to find untapped profitable niches, create an original product within that niche, and then dominate that niche. I actually like this theory of niche marketing quite a bit. It makes great business sense to go after the markets that are not completely overloaded with competition. So, as a business plan, Dominating Niches is saying all the right things. But does it deliver?
Dominating Niches in theory is a great product. I have not personally read through the entire program so I can't give you an insiders look. But what I can give you is my little testimonial that niche marketing does work. I have created some websites in some seemingly obscure niches (worm farms anyone?) and actually had some good success with them.
The key to dominating smaller niches is finding those that do not have a lot of competition AND picking the right keywords. The best keyword tool to use is the free one provided by Google keywords tool. Just type in your root keyword and Google will spit back some great keywords that people are actually searching for.
Then take your keyword and put it in "quotations" in a regular Google search. This will give the exact competition; notice the number of exact results. This is the number of webpages that use this exact search phrase on their website. If you can find a keyword with less than 20k or so, you have a winner.
The dominating niches program also encourages you to create your own product; which also makes a lot of sense. This means you will be able to keep 100% of the profits from your own sales; instead of 50% of the sales as an affiliate. You will also be able to recruit your own affiliates to promote these products for you; which can definitely add a healthy boost to your bottom line.
Overall, Dominating Niches is a great idea in theory. It can work and does work all the time. Your own ability to make some good money in smaller niches depends on the amount of work that you put into it. More work = more profits.
